Angela Zuraw is certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a strong commitment to providing compassionate care to individuals navigating mental health challenges. After earning a master's degree in nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health, Angela is equipped with advanced clinical skills in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment planning. She takes a patient-centered approach to care, emphasizing the importance of personalized treatment, empathy, and active collaboration between provider, patient and interdisciplinary resources.
Angela specializes in helping children, adolescents, and adults during critical moments of their mental health journey; whether it's managing the stress of adolescence, coping with major life transitions, or navigating ongoing challenges with conditions like anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, and trauma. She is passionate about providing continuous care that empowers clients to build resilience, develop coping strategies, and sustain long-term mental wellness.
Angela has significant ties to the south Florida area, being a Boca Raton native, and receiving most of her education and work experience locally. With her clinical background in cardiac and perioperative nursing, she brings a strong understanding of the mind-body connection and believes everyone deserves compassionate and focused care to navigate daily and tumultuous life challenges. Whether working telehealth or in person, she aims to provide a safe space where patients feel comfortable expressing their concerns.
In addition to her training and experience, Angela works closely with Dr. Priti Kothari, a respected figure in the mental health community, whose expertise in pediatrics and adolescence has been invaluable in expanding Angela's knowledge base and clinical skills.
When not working, Angela enjoys playing with her dog, going for walks, meditation, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
Angela takes the time to build meaningful connections, listening, and using evidence based collaborative treatments that honors your goals and values. She is committed to lifelong learning and advocacy, working to reduce mental health stigma, and involvement with the American Psychiatric Nursing Association (APNA).
She will be seeing patients in the Boca and Jupiter office.
