Jenifer Deyoe, MSN, APRN-BC is a nurse practitioner who has been practicing in advanced practice since 2013. She is board certified in both Psych/Mental Health by the American Nurse Credentialing Center and Adult/Geriatrics by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, the American Society of Addiction Medicine, and the Florida Nurse Practitioners Network.
Jenifer began her love of patient care at the age of 15 as a nursing assistant and went on to graduate with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Jewish College of Nursing @ Washington University in St. Louis, MO. She has a 30-year work history in the areas of critical care, adult and pediatric emergency, telemetry, med/surg, oncology, newborn nursery, endoscopy, ambulatory surgery, post anesthesia care, infection control, home health, and quality improvement.
Eager to learn more, she received her Master of Science in Nursing in Primary Care from South University and a Post Master’s Certificate in Psych/Mental Health from the University of Cincinnati. She is now completing a Post Master’s Certificate from the University of Florida Department of Medicine in Addiction and Recovery.
As an advanced practice nurse, she has worked in internal medicine/primary care, psych/mental health, and addiction with adolescent teens, young adults, and geriatrics utilizing psychotropic and/or non- psychotropic medication management in combination with supportive therapy for single and co-existing diagnosis. She completed her psych/mental health pediatric clinical hours under the supervision of Dr. Priti Kothari learning extensively about pediatric and adolescent psychiatry during the rotation. Her love of reading and appetite for continued learning keeps her abreast of the latest evidence-based practice in her profession. When not working, Jenifer enjoys Zumba, Pilates, yoga, music, and volunteering with her children.
